There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest news:
- Chef BJ Lieberman’s newest restaurant, a wood-fired Italian spot called Metsi’s, officially opens today – Friday, June 6. The two-level eatery takes the place of his shuttered restaurant Hiraeth. Get a full look at Metsi’s here!
- Goodfellas Pizzeria opens its first Columbus location today, June 6. The pizzeria and bourbon bar is located at 608 N. High St. in the Short North, taking over a long-empty space at the southern edge of the district.
- Tulip Café celebrates the grand opening of its newly expanded space this Sunday, June 8 from 1-6 p.m. They’ll have a ribbon cutting at 2 p.m. and will be offering free samples, including free baklava.
- Lots of openings this weekend! The Light Meeting House coffee bar and cafe opens on Saturday, June 7 in the old Addella’s on Oak space at 1485 Oak St.
- Ravello’s Coffee soft opens it new coffee shop inside The Daily Bar starting next Monday, June 10, with a grand opening on June 17.
- Alchemy Cafe has been tapped to open a third location, this one inside The Well, Hilliard’s community center.
- The owner of My Old World Bakery has shared that she’s sold the bakery to new owners.
- Last weekend the Scatter Joy Project opened its new community space at 986 N. High St. (the former Lindsay Gallery, which moved downtown), and every Saturday they’ll feature coffee by Kape Coffee and Third Way Coffeehouse.
