The first Ohio location of Bitty & Beau’s Coffee opened last weekend in Upper Arlington’s Kingsdale Center! Bitty & Beau’s first opened in 2016 in Wilmington, N.C., as a family-run coffee shop with a mission to employ people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Since then they’ve expanded to 19 locations across several states.

“Welcome to Bitty & Beau’s!” That’s the warm greeting you get when you walk through the doors and you step up to the counter.
Bitty & Beau’s features a full menu of hot and iced coffee drinks, frappes, and smoothies.

Plus a breakfast burrito and a selection of bagels and snacks.

When you place your order, you’re given a playing card. Just listen for them to call your card!

We tried a trio of drinks on our visit. First up was a delightful iced dirty chai.

Plus a brewed coffee and cold brew – all excellent!

There’s plenty of swag as well, from mugs to shirts and more.

I love the mission and the messaging of being radically inclusive.

Bitty & Beau’s even describes themselves as “a human rights movement disguised as a coffee shop.” I love it!
Bitty & Beau’s has a prime location in the Kingsdale Center, right next to the Giant Eagle Marketplace, so I’m sure they’ll stay busy. But even beyond that, it’s a fun community space with great coffee and an even better mission. I’m sure they’ll do well!
The shop is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
