Need a place to stay that’s close to Columbus’ city center, one that’s in the heart of the Short North Arts District? Check out the 50 Lincoln Bed & Breakfast, hidden in plain sight just a couple blocks off High Street on East Lincoln!
As it sits east of High Street, the 50 Lincoln B&B is technically part of Italian Village, but it feels very much a part of the Short North. It makes its home in a 1917 Italianate structure that was converted to guest lodging in 1986. It features eight different guest rooms, as well as a beautiful common area on the ground floor.
The small dining room welcomes guests for breakfast in the mornings, but coffee and snacks are available throughout the day.
I got to stay in room 202, a second-floor room with a king bed, pull-out couch, and en suite bathroom.
The space is modern and comfortable while retaining its historic feel.
I used my overnight stay as a small writing retreat, and I appreciated the small desk in one corner.
Guests are allowed to use the kitchen area, and snacks are often laid out for them.
There’s also coffee and tea service available.
You have two options for breakfast at 50 Lincoln, either a lighter option of pastries and coffee between 7:30-8 a.m. or a sit-down breakfast served promptly at 8:30 a.m.
I opted for the sit-down breakfast, of course! You can start with coffee, tea, or use the espresso machine.
Then help yourself to yogurt, granola, and fruit.
The dish rotates every day; on my stay I enjoyed a lovely vegetable frittata and a scone – both excellent!
The B&B also features a small brick backyard with a screened-in porch, lights, and multiple seating areas.
50 Lincoln is such a cute spot to stay! I love that it’s right in the Short North, just steps away from all it has to offer. I snagged coffee at One Line Coffee, a burger and a drink from Press Grill, but you’re also close to favorites like The Lox Bagel Shop, Rooh, Metsi’s, and many others.
The B&B also offers free parking behind the house (there is some limited availability), so it’s a really convenient stay!
