The cutest healthy Halloween treat! Frozen banana + white chocolate = these adorable ghost pops!

    Frozen Banana Ghost Pops

These Frozen Boo-nana Pops are the cutest healthy Halloween treat! Made with just two ingredients—bananas and white chocolate—they’re creamy, naturally sweet, and a hit with kids and adults alike. Perfect for Halloween parties, after-school snacks, or a fun weekend project with your little ones.

I love Halloween treats that are festive but still on the lighter side. These banana pops are quick to make, freezer-friendly, and so much fun to decorate—let the kids help dip the bananas and add chocolate chip “eyes.” Once frozen, they taste like mini banana ice cream pops! You can even drizzle a little dark chocolate on top or roll them in coconut for a “mummy” effect. More easy Halloween party ideas you might enjoy are these Mummy Jalapeno Poppers and these French Bread Pizza Mummies!

Why You’ll Love These Boo-nana Pops

I used to make these for Madison when she was little. Just two ingredients and so fun to make with kids — dip frozen banana halves in melted white chocolate, add mini chocolate chip eyes, and freeze until set. Sweet, creamy, and spooky-cute!

    Ingredients

    • Bananas – Use firm, ripe (not overripe) bananas so they hold their shape when frozen.
    • White chocolate – Melted for coating; you can use chips or a chopped bar.
    • Mini chocolate chips – For the spooky little “eyes.”

How to Make Frozen Boo-nana Pops

Cut bananas, insert sticks and freeze

    1. Prep the bananas: Peel and cut each banana in half crosswise, then lengthwise. Insert a popsicle stick or lollipop stick into quarter.
    2. Freeze: Lay the bananas on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze until solid, about 2 hours.
    3. Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe cup, melt white chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
    4. Dip and decorate: Working quickly, dip each frozen banana pop in melted chocolate, then add mini chocolate chip “eyes.”
    5. Freeze again: Return to the baking sheet and freeze until set.

That’s it! The result is a frosty, creamy treat that’s equal parts spooky and sweet.

This makes four pops but you will have plenty of extra chocolate if you want to make more. Each banana has about 1/2 oz of chocolate, that is how I based the nutritional info.

    How to Serve

Serve these ghostly pops straight from the freezer at your next Halloween party or as a light dessert after dinner. They’re a great alternative to candy and always a hit with kids (and adults who want something a little lighter).

    Yield: 4 servings

    Serving Size: 1 banana pop

    • Cut banana in half lengthwise, then in half to make four quarters. Insert popsicle sticks into bananas, and freeze bananas on a wax paper lined cookie sheet.

    • When the bananas are frozen, fill a coffee mug with chocolate. Melt chocolate in the microwave 30 seconds at a time, stirring until the chocolate is melted and soft.

    • Dip the bananas one at a time into the chocolate, scraping off the excess chocolate from the back of the banana, and place it on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.

    • Quickly add the chocolate chips for the eyes before the chocolate hardens (you have to work quickly here).

    • Return to the freezer until frozen and ready to eat. Eat frozen.
