There’s always a lot happening in the Columbus restaurant world! Here’s the latest news:

    • Fox in the Snow announced revealed this week that it is adding a fifth store, this one at 79 S. State St. in Uptown Westerville. The shop was formerly a location for Fusian. The bakery and coffee shop is aiming for a summer opening. Fox in the Snow first opened in Italian Village in 2014, expanding to German Village, New Albany, and most recently to Dublin.
    • Speaking of Westerville, Ampersand Asian Supper Club opened its second location in Uptown this week. Located in a new build at 32 W. State St., the new Ampersand features noodle bowls, rice bowls, small plates, and a full bar.
    • Milo’s Deli announced this week that it is returning to Franklinton after a long hiatus. The new location will be 401 W. Town St. in the former Strongwater Food & Spirits space. Milo’s is operated by some of the same family as Tommy’s Diner, and originally stood on West Broad Street before closing and operating as a caterer. The new Milo’s is set to open this summer.
    • Draft Day Sports Bar has opened in the former Smokehouse Brewing at 1130 Dublin Rd. In addition to a full bar with a craft beer-heavy menu, Draft Day serves a variety of bar snacks, burgers, chicken sandwiches, and wings.
    • Dan the Baker just completed an expansion of his space Grandview, adding new counters, seating, and other features. The new entrance is located at 1042 Ridge Rd.
    • Chef Justin Wotring announced Caroline’s, a new sandwich-centric pop-up happening at Bear’s Bagels this summer. Caroline’s will open every Thursday through June-August, starting at 5 p.m. The first pop-up is scheduled for June 5.
    • Pickle Park & Pub was announced for Astor Place, the developing neighborhood around Lower.com Field. Slated to open in January 2026, the facility spans more than 17,000 field with pickleball courts, a restaurant, two bars, and more.
    • Shakers Public House, which moved to Worthington last year after their original location burned down, has re-established itself on the West Side with a regular spot for a food truck. Their truck will be open at 4321 W. Broad St. from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (or sell-out) Tuesdays through Saturdays.

    Some great culinary events!

    • This Friday, May 9, Brioso Coffee hosts a latte art and coffee tasting competition at its Long Street store. The competition starts at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. Interested baristas can enter for $10, which gets donated to Faith Mission.
    • Columbus Monthly magazine hosts its spring cocktail competition at The Vue on Tuesday, May 13. The evening includes competing creations from area bars and restaurants while guests get to sip drinks and vote on their favorites.
    • Columbus Food Adventures just announced its latest Taste Of dinner, this one titled Taste of Algeria, on May 28. The event takes place at the Riverview International Center, and is a fundraiser for the center.
