Orale Guey Mexican restaurant, which first opened in early 2025 out on East Broad Street, expanded with a Worthington location this May. We visited for dinner shortly after they opened, but now we’re back to experience the meal that made them famous: brunch!
Orale Guey first hit it big shortly after they opened when one of their TikTok videos went viral, pleading for people to patronize the family-run business. Since that time, they were named one of Columbus Monthly’s 2026 Best New Restaurants, and clearly have been busy enough that they could expand.
While they offer lunch and dinner items, their massive brunch menu is the real feature. Here’s what we tasted on our recent visit, starting first with a little appetizer of cheesecake slices.
They offer a full range of hot and iced coffee drinks like the Rompochino on the left; it’s a cappuccino with a touch of Mexican eggnog and rum.
We ordered a pair of their salsas, which were richly seasoned and served warm.
If you have a sweet tooth, they feature a full menu of pancakes, French toast, waffles, and crepes, like these beautiful Nutella, banana, and strawberry crepes.
From the lunch and dinner side of the menu, we tasted sopes with asada and barbacoa.
Sopes used a fried masa base served open-faced with a variety of toppings.
They feature a range of breakfast tortas, too. We tried the torta de tamale. It’s overflowing with tamale filling, sauce (we chose verde), sour cream, and cheese.
And their signature dish: chilaquiles! Orale Guey has become well-known for this dish, and it’s easy to see why. It’s a generous portion of chips, your choice of salsas (we combined rojos and verdes salsas), grilled steak, two eggs cooked to order, and nicely seasoned refried beans.
Orale Guey is open Sunday-Monday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Tuesday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4-9 p.m.; and Friday-Saturday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4-10 p.m.
