Happy Friday! Here’s the latest Columbus restaurant news:
- Cilantro Latino Grill announced that they’ve begun popping up at Bodega in the Short North, serving arepas in the evening hours. Bodega was previously host to a burger pop-up from Buck City Sammies, which recently wrapped up its run.
- The owners of Apollo Coffee announced that they’ll be transitioning from a trailer to a brick and mortar shop in New Albany. They’ve been appearing locally with their trailer since March of this year.
- Chef Abo Steif, which features Beirut-style street food, opened this week at 6181 Sawmill Rd. Suite C in Dublin. They serve falafel, shawarma, and other Lebanese dishes. This is the first U.S. location for the chain.
- A new cocktail bar called The Shapeshifter is coming soon to 129 McDowell St. in Franklinton.
- The Pakistani restaurant Lahori Texas Halal Food has expanded with a second location at 2800 Festival Ln. in Dublin. (Thanks to Columbus Food Adventures for the tip!)
- A few seats are still available for Columbus Food Adventures’ next Supper Club on Thursday, May 21, which is a preview of The Line with chefs Sangeeta Lakhani and Matt Heaggans.
- Barley’s Brewing hosts its annual Afternoon with the Brewers this Sunday, May 17.
